Collaboration with "Re-Bear Project" by Co., Ltd.'s
With the vision of "reconstructing overlooked value and enriching the world", Ie Co., Ltd. operates a furniture upcycling business and spatial design. As a representative project, I participated as a painter in the "Re-Bear Project", a product that upcycled wood carved bears with the power of art. It is sold on consignment all over Japan, including the 21st Century Museum of Art, Umeda Department Store, and Tokyo Nihonbashi.

「P/OP」"B by Brooklyn Brewery"にてPOPUPに展示販売
2023年7月13日～7月23日の間で、HOTEL K5の地下にある「B（ビー）by Brooklyn Brewery」にて箪笥の再生ブランド「P/OP」のPOPUPを開催しております。ニューヨークのブルックリンで誕生したブルックリン・ブルワリーの、世界初となるフラッグシップ店”B at K5"。ブルックリン・ブルワリーのビールを片手に「P/OP」の展示を楽しんで頂けます。

伝統的な家財品であった桐の箪笥は年々使われなくなってきています。時には嫁入り道具として、時には高価な着物を入れる収納として、2代、3代と世代が過ぎてもそこにある家具として、時代のライフスタイルを紡いできた存在といえます。
「P/OP」は、富山県内の空き家からレスキューした箪笥を、“桐材”に替わり、軽く、加工しやすいという同じ特徴を持つアクリル板を用いて新たな価値を生み出す活動を行っています。さらには、いずれアクリル板を桐材に戻して、元の状態に近い形で使ってもらえるといいなという気持ちもこのプロダクトには込められています。

Exhibited and sold to POPUP at "P/OP" "B by Brooklyn Brewery"

From July 13th to July 23rd, 2023, we will hold a POPUP of the refurbished chest of drawers brand "P/OP" at "B by Brooklyn Brewery" in the basement of HOTEL K5."B at K5" is the world's first flagship store of Brooklyn Brewery, which was born in Brooklyn, New York. You can enjoy the "P/OP" exhibition with a beer from Brooklyn Brewery. The paulownia chest of drawers, which was a traditional household item, is becoming less popular year by year. Sometimes it is used as a wedding accessory, sometimes as a storage for expensive kimonos, and as a piece of furniture that will continue to be there for generations to come. "P/OP" is engaged in activities to create new value by using acrylic sheets, which have the same characteristics of lightness and ease of processing, instead of "paulownia wood" for chests rescued from vacant houses in Toyama Prefecture. In addition, this product contains the feeling that it would be nice if the acrylic board could be replaced with paulownia wood and used in a form close to its original state.
